Depending on the condition of your tile floor and grout, a one-step or two-step process will be recommended.

One-Step Process

This is performed when build up is much lighter and an alkaline wash is sufficient.

Two-Step Process

If there is a heavy build up of dirt and grease and if it is determined after pre-inspection that a two-step process is necessary, an acid wash followed by an alkaline wash would be performed.  These two steps are absolutely necessary, especially if build up is very heavy.
